Freezing cold… enigmatic view… inexplicable feel….evergreen Kanchanjangha peeping through the clouds in the azure sky… tranquil snow silently making surrounding more romantic…a bottle of beer & awesome enjoyment… that has always been ‘the queen of hills’ Darjeeling for me… She has always welcomed me with surprises.. This time she was waiting ‘unveiled’ for me & adding to the surprise’s list, we got a royale guest house totally free of cost for one night…. (top-secret )…

Here goes some clicks …

The Glenary’s , the Fiesta, the Darjeeling tea corner , they still give me the same feel. Personally speaking … I have always felt somewhere connected to Darjeeling . Whenever i’m away from the ‘heaven on earth’, unknowingly, I miss her……… But, I go on, with a feel that next time ‘the queen’ will be waiting with some new surprises for me…!!

3 days & 3 nights …some quality time & some inexplicable feelings… unforgettable scenic beauties & my clicks.. sweet kids riding on horses & also an aunty trying hard to fit on a horse (that poor horse!!)… cute nepali girls & their pink cheeks … royal tasty foods & can of tasteless foster’s beer …. a lifetime experience…. that was the tour for me….

Now i’m at home & packing for my next trip to Delhi (leaving tomorrow). But the feelings of that place are as fresh as i’m still wandering in some zic-zac way there… Darjeeling is beautiful.. sometimes, at some places its dirty (it is my humble request to all tourists ..please dont make Darjeeling or any tourist spots dirty..its your India ,its your world..) but still its beautiful… you can feel the essence of ‘heaven’ if you are lucky enough to see the Kanchanjangha, the 3rd highest peak of India…But in monsoon its tough enough to get that lucky…

But in monsoon , the flowers, the greenery add a special charm to the beauty of the ‘queen’.. thousands of different species of flower, the green cover of fresh leaves make the ‘queen’ much more beautiful…
Then … according to the rule of time… that time also came when we had to leave ‘the queen of hills’…

I remember when I was leaving Darjeeling… my ears were sharp enough to catch me murmuring…
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep;
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep..

Its is my 2nd visit to Darjeeling..& I’m loving this place even more… Sorry!! wrong word used… you can’t address Darjeeling by a word ‘place’..its a lot more than that… it$ such a beauty which you can’t even dream to dream…

Its foggy over here now…havn’t seen Kanchanjangha yet..but we are hopeful…The last time I was here, I was not that much lucky to see the sunrise..Lets hope for the best this time..

Now lets come to today… The evening tour in the ‘mall’(.. today I discovered darkness in hills has its own beauty.. the proper way to define the beauty will be “a beautiful woman wearing a black saree & you are getting the sensous feeling..),the cup of Darjeeling tea in fiesta (which dint tasted that good because of our experiment..lol..)..n right now the sharing the feelings with my readers… Its simply superb..

Today… Me being teamed up with Anirban da , Andy da & some other friends are shooting for “the queen of hill$” i.e Darjeeling;…situated at the north east zone of India..

I went there 1 year back & I loved that place like anything.The smell of the fresh air, the taste of world famous Darjeeling tea,seeing clouds underneath your feets, drizzling even when you are inside the hotel room, the batasia loop, botanical garden, rock garden takes that place to real heights. From the day I came back I was looking for an opportunity to get back there & now as I have got it..I’m gonna enjoy every single thing of that place to the fullest what I missed last time..

& my message to the people who havn’t ever been there … ‘Darjeeling’ is the only place to feel ‘heaven on earth’…..

$iliguri, a small town situated in the lap of Himalayas, is a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l city in my eyes  . With the fragrance of affection, the smell of the air, gleenery all around takes it closer to heaven & i’m proud to say that its my hometown.

Today only I reached home after the busy schedule. In the last 5 days I was busy with my sisters marriage & the scorching heat over Kolkata literally screwed all the enjoyment..

Next plan is Darjeeling ..I’m sure its gonna rock ….If not then also no prob$ b’cause my hometown always rocks either its summer or winter…
