Laxmi.. the goddess of wealth.The bengalis, the people worship her for wealth.. for happiness, contentness in life.. And if you ask why wealth, its simply because “Wealth is not everything, but a must need..”

From the morning, rather yesterday the elders remain busy in marketting , buying the required things needed for the puja…Then the day of puja comes…. The most interesting thing which I find in Laxmi puja is the “alpona-session”..In this, all you have to do is to sketch footprints of the goddess… Sounding pretty easy?? haan? ..but I tried many time but everytime i screwed it.. Thereafter, mom doesn’t let me touch “kharimati”( by which ‘alpona’ is designed)…lol..
In the afternoon, the elder women get dressed in red bordered white sarees( I love that look) & sit together for the fruit-cutting session…:).. kudos to them!!…How can they sit at the same place for hours??… Next comes ‘anjali’… then ‘sinni-session’- its a mixture of fruits , milk, sugar & many more…& It tastes awesome…

Left-Thats kharimati…Right-That’s a ‘pradip’..

On a whole… maa Laxmi , the daughter of Durga comes on earth just after Durga pujo to freshen the environment of festivals .. give everyone the feeling of not being upset & whispers in our ears, the ‘festival of lights’ is knocking at the door…!!

Kaminey- A film Or a headache costing 110 bucks!!!

A fine afternoon , a pleasant weather, 2 of my close friends, a fantastic mood , then came ‘Kaminey’ , a film ,rather I will prefer to say a headache costing 110 bucks. .
I wont say anyone,don’t watch the film but I will say, please go & watch the film and tell me what is the fact of the film…. Some people will say ,’ fhut up’ (s=f) , the acting was fa-ff-fa–faantastic’. Yes, i agree. Shahid showed that he is a matured actor of our film industry now. But, my questions to them are,
1.”Can you tell me who bought the packets of moov for Shahid, coz i’m sure his legs were paining after giving the shots, because I saw him running in the whole film..”
2.”Can you tell me which dead body looks like the same as a living person after 2 days of death??”
3.”Can you tell me what is the need of saying ‘sonamoni mukhta dekhao to?’ at serious moments?”

& so on…..
Lastly,
I personally feel VIshal Bhardwaj could have made a way better film with the plot he had than ‘Kaminey’ …

2nd years..!!

2nd years, new, senior

New session..new feelings… some responsibilties, some fun… sometimes professionalism, sometimes being informal… some new conflicts, some new friendships… a new start to a new year…my 2nd years.
The starting- The beginning was not that good. The day I reached hostel, I came to know that the fan of our room is not working. My room-partner(Neel) was also not there. Suffered some days without fan.. Then came cs-mania.. lost to a 4th years team in the 1st match.. Next, attended 1st meeting of BCET_ERPC being a 2nd year.. to be true, I was dissapointed a-bit after coming across this years team.. But, the ideas of ‘hierarchy’ & ‘monthly bulletin’ were good.. I’m also into making a blogsite for promoting AEIE(Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering).. a new trade, new prosperities…
Welcome juniors
My juniors are joining on 17th of this month, looking forward to that. I’m sure the ragging session gonna be fun for them.. I’m waiting to come across some real potential..
This year gonna be a real special for me… Dont know why but i’m having such a feeling.. Lets see, Am I correct or not??

A visit to ‘Taj-mahal’….

Taj Mahal, a fusion of Indian and Persian architecture, is situated on the right banks of the Yamuna river.Its made of white marble in the loving memory of the then Empress of India…‘Arjumand Bano Begum’, well-known as Mumtaz.. Behind this world famous architecture there’s a ‘a husband’s love for his wife’ ,the then Emperor of India, Shahjahan…..
The construction work started in the month of December, 1631 A.D. & came to a finish in the year 1648 A.D. It is said that the exterior of Taj Mahal is persian.. but the soul in it, is Indian..

The tombs of the Empress Mumtaz & Emperor Shahjahan are situated centric below the main dome. Mumtaj Mahal was a real noble lady. The tomb of Mumtaz is inscripted like this,” The tomb of Arjumard Bano Begum called Mumtaj Mahal, died in the year 1040 Hijri (thats 1631 A.D.) The Hurs of the Heaven came down to greet her and the angels on date of her death said In the Heaven may always be Mumtaz’s seat”… And the tomb of his loving husband is inscripted like this,”The Mansoleum of the most exite majesty living his above in paradise, the second Lord of constellation, may ever flourish. Here lies Shahjahan , Emperor called Firdaus Ashyani (a dweller of Paradise) who was born like Jimur when jupitus and Venus were in Heaven. He passed away from the world on the night of 28th on the month of Rajab 1666 A.D.”
‘The Lady of the Taj’ died only in the age of 39.. It was her elegance , beauty which made the Emperor of India not to marry again… After the death of his wife, Shahjahan passed his life in great agony & disgust..imprisoned by his own son Aurangazeb.. The Jharokha or a glimpse of the beautiful Taj kept him alive in his last days…

Anyway… I cherish the memories of my visiting that place… Its “one of the seven wonders of the world… & to quote to Mr.M.G.Forest,”It is like one of those daughters of God, who were most divinely fair..”
